Telemarketers - HISS!

I know they are only doing their jobs, and I know that its basically a very good living for someone..

But OMG !

Had a call come in from India.. she started telling me all about the savings we are going to be getting.. I straight away said we were not interested and hung up..

That should have been the end of it!!

She calls back!

TM: Why did you hang up on me Ma'am? I wasn't trying to sell you anything! You don't have to change phone providers or anything! You would be saving 17% on your international...
Mari: So is that in effect now?
TM [pause]: uhh no..
Mari: So what do we have to do?
TM: You would be saving a minimum 17% on all..
Mari [getting annoyed]: Stop! I don't want to hear this. I don't have time for this. If you can't tell me what the point of your phone call is in the next 5 seconds, I will be hanging up again..
TM: Your local calls would go from 24cents..

The Loss of an Inspiration

She was a brave, inspirational woman.

She lost her 12 year fight with cancer on the weekend.

Its just heartbreaking. She was so young, and so full of life. She only just got married. She met her husband a year after the diagnosis, and so their entire relationship they had this cancer over their heads. How do you live like that?

Its just so sad..

A Change For The Better

What a relief! Although honestly, I think it was inevitable.. we have had 6 years of the biggest political power on earth going down the path of evil and corruption.. it was only a matter of time before the tide turned.

Way to go Americans, its about time there was some sanity in the White House.

Bush is gonna have a crappy final two years... ;-)

This makes me so mad. People who try to force their views down your throat make me so mad.

Why is it that Ultra Orthodox Religions feel they have the right to dictate what you can and can't do? Who you can and can't love? How are Ultra Orthodox Jews any different from Ultra Orthodox Muslims? They both are saying 'everyone has to be like us'.

And then this made me laugh:

Are they sure? 'We believe..' is such a disclaimer! What a joke!
